- Admission for a course is subject to the availability of seats.
- Once the course fee is paid, no refunds or adjustments will be made.
- The candidate has to pay the fee as per the fee schedule. In case of failure, the candidate will not be allowed in the training or a late fee will be charged.
- Candidate can pay the fee by CASH/ NEFT/ RTGS/ UPI in favour of Royal Institute of Maritime Studies PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION TRUST.
- Candidates should ask for a valid receipt for every payment.
- A duplicate receipt will not be issued in any case. The transaction, without a receipt or to an unauthorised person/account will not be entertained.
- Family members/friends accompanying the candidates will not be allowed to stay in the campus area in any situation.
- As it is residential training candidates must stay on campus throughout the training. However, an outing is allowed on Sunday.
- During the training, no leaves are allowed. In case of an emergency, permission may be given by extending the training for the leave period.
- If the candidate does not attend class, discontinues training due to illness or any other personal problem or any other reason and is not willing to continue/shift his training within 6 months from the admission date, then his candidature will be cancelled as per the institute policy.
- Rescheduling of the course will depend upon the availability of seats and this option is valid for six months from the date of admission. Rescheduling/Shifting charges will be applicable as per the institute’s policy.
- Mobile phones will be allowed only on Saturday & Sunday however parents may contact the official hostel number.
- Possession/consumption of alcohol drugs, tobacco or any other intoxication material is strictly prohibited. Defaulters may face suspension, fine or removal from the institution.
- Candidates need to be well groomed and clean-shaved (except the Sikh cadets)
- Candidate must follow daily routine timings for hostel & training activities.
- Candidates will be responsible for the safety of their belongings and valuable items.
- Candidate must keep their living area neat and clean.
- The cost of loss/damage to furniture, fittings, and equipment will be recovered from the candidate.
- Candidates are strictly prohibited from using abusive language, misconduct in disciplined behaviour and physical assault.
- If a candidate indulges in any dispute in lawful or unwanted activity outside the campus then the institute will not be responsible.
- Guardians are expected to take feedback from their ward.
- After completion of training, On-Board Training/Placement process will be started after receiving all necessary documents/certificates.
- The candidate has to bear the charges that occur for Onboard Training/Placement in India or abroad.
- Candidates will get a placement based on their eligibility capability and training track record.
- Placement will be given by Royal Institute of Maritime Studies Placement Cell on its manned vessels in Indian Coastal or foreign-going vessels.
- Candidates should be in touch with Royal Institute of Maritime Studies Placement Cell for lifetime placement support.
- Institute holds the right to take any action against candidates for violation of Rules and Regulations.
- Institute reserves the right to cancel any admission without assigning a reason.
- Institute holds the right to change abolish or amend any rule/policy at any time.
